A Chalking Easter "Egg" Hunt
Urban Canvas was invited to Concord, New Hampshire to help create chalk drawings as part of Main Street Concord's 34th annual Market Days Festival, which drew in residents for music, art, shopping, entertainment, and yes, chalking.
We decided to start out by drawing a large, empty "aquarium" on the street. Passersby were then invited to add their own chalky nautical creations: fish, mollusks, turtles, plant life, bubbles, and so forth
Once the aquarium was "full," however, we decided to let imaginations run wild, and soon the rest of the street and adjacent sidewalks became filled with colorful creations of all sorts.
